Day 1
Day 1-2: Goba Lodge & Rest Camp, Gobabis or similar

Gobabis

Set in the heart of eastern Namibia’s ‘Cattle Country’, the town of Gobabis is the district capital of the Omaheke region. This town features a rich heritage and cultural diversity. It is the centre of a thriving cattle farming area and has earned the nickname the ‘Little Texas’ of Namibia. Like most towns in Namibia, Gobabis has an interesting history, which is documented in the local Gobabis Museum. Opened on request, visitors will find a collection of historic artifacts inside, while old agricultural implements are displayed on the grounds. Visitors can also view the beautiful traditional dress of the local Herero and Damara women while strolling through town, enjoy excellent bird watching in the surrounding areas and jump on the back of a traditional Damara-nama donkey cart for a ride. Don’t miss a visit to the Harnas Wildlife Foundation, a sanctuary for big cats and a variety of endangered wildlife.

Goba Lodge & Rest Camp provided guests with a wonderful lodge experience with its beautiful gardens and wide open spaces. With friendly service, nature and a renowned restaurant, guests can enjoy a perfect care-free stay.

Accommodation at Goba Lodge comprises of 4 twin bed luxury rooms, a twin bed standard room, 2 double bed luxury rooms, 2 family chalets with one spacious room, 3 family units with a separate parent room. Goba Rest Camp offers 3 double bed rooms, 7 twin bed rooms, 4 campsites and has a view of the game camp. The rooms shares 4 separate ablution units with the campsite. Each camp site is on a lawn and is provided with a light, power outlet and stand alone BBQ grid. There is clean, drinkable water on tap. Other communal facilities include a dining room with channel TV, kitchen and BBQ area.

Day 3: Kalahari Anib Lodge Gondwana Collection Namibia, Mariental or similar

Mariental

Situated in south central Namibia, fringing the Kalahari Desert, the city of Mariental lies along the TransNamib railway and serves as the Hardap Region’s commercial and administrative capital. It provides an important petrol stop before heading west to Sesriem to view the red-orange dunes of Sossusvlei. Mariental is located close to magnificent the Hardap Dam, which is the largest reservoir in Namibia. The Hardap Irrigation Scheme has breathed life into this arid terrain, which is now fertile with farmlands covered in citrus, melons, lucerne, wine and maize, and dotted with ostrich farms. The dam is a popular holiday resort which draws city slickers from Windhoek and offers an array of watersports, scenic walks, and abundant wildlife in a 20000-hectare nature reserve set on its western bank; where visitors can spot rhino, ostrich, antelope, springbok and a variety of bird species.

Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch Afternoon Drive

The Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch, situated in Mariental, South Africa, offers guests an afternoon game drive. The activity includes a game drive in the reserve, viewing a variety of game such as giraffe, kudu, zebra, oryx, blue wildebeest and eland. Guests are able to experience breathtaking views of the reserve that has some of the highest dunes in the region, with views over the pan.

The Kalahari has more than 150 bird species for guests who are bird enthusiasts. The well-known suricate, more commonly known as a meerkat can also to be seen. As the day draws to a close, guests are treated to a sundowner on the dune, complemented by refreshments and a Namibian snack, while enjoying a breathtaking sunset over the Kalahari.

Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch Combination Drive

The Combination Drive offered by the Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch is a game drive, cheetah feeding, and sundowner on the dunes. The game drive is in a reserve where guests can see a variety of game such as giraffe, kudu, zebra, oryx, blue wildebeest, eland and much more. The reserve has some of the highest dunes in the region with views over the pan, characteristic to the Kalahari. The Kalahari has more than 150 species of birds. The well-known suricate (meerkat) is also to be seen, although they are very scarce.

Cheetah feeding allows guests the opportunity to come up close to the cheetah and offers a great opportunity for taking photos. The guides will provide guests with interesting facts about this incredible cat and the history of the cheetahs in the game ranches care. After this, a sundowner on the dune will await guests, with refreshments and a Namibian snack, while guests can enjoy a breathtaking sunset in the Kalahari.

Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch Bushmen Walk

Located in Mariental, South Africa, the Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch offers guests a Bushmen Walk activity. Guests can join in a relaxing walk with Bushmen from the San tribe to the demonstration village. Guests can learn ancient survival skills as well as Bushmen secrets inherited from forefathers. On arrival at the traditional Bushman village, guests will meet a family who will demonstrate the way water is stored in ostrich egg shells, plants for medicinal use, setting up traps, as well as the making of ostrich and bead jewelry.

Day 4-5: Canyon Village Gondwana Collection Namibia, Fish River Canyon or similar

Fish River Canyon

Carving out an epic rocky wonderland in the south of Namibia, the Fish River has created Africa’s largest and the world’s second largest canyon. Hot, dry and stony, the Fish River Canyon measures a whopping 160 kilometres in length, at times 27 kilometres in width and 550 metres in depth. The awe-inspiring natural beauty of this ancient geological marvel draws visitors from around the globe. For those looking for adventure, the intense 85 kilometre Fish River Hiking Trail through1.5 billion years of geological history will definitely thrill avid adventure enthusiasts, and for visitors looking to relax, head over to the canyon's southern end to enjoy a soak in the mineral waters of the renowned hot springs of Ai-Ais, or take in the spectacularly scenic views from Hobas Restcamp as well as numerous other viewpoints along its rim. Day 4
Day 6-7: Namib Desert Lodge Gondwana Collection Namibia, Sossusvlei or similar

Sossusvlei

Located in the scenic Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei is where you will find the iconic red sand dunes of the Namib. The clear blue skies contrast with the giant red dunes to make this one of the most scenic natural wonders of Africa and a photographer's heaven. This awe-inspiring destination is possibly Namibia's premier attraction, with its unique dunes rising to almost 400 metres-some of the highest in the world. These iconic dunes come alive in morning and evening light and draw photography enthusiasts from around the globe. Sossusvlei is home to a variety desert wildlife including oryx, springbok, ostrich and a variety of reptiles. Visitors can climb 'Big Daddy', one of Sossusvlei’s tallest dunes; explore Deadvlei, a white, salt, claypan dotted with ancient trees; or for the more extravagant, scenic flights and hot air ballooning are on offer, followed by a once-in-a-lifetime champagne breakfast amidst these majestic dunes.

Day 8: Mile-4 Caravan Park, Swakopmund or similar

Swakopmund

Set along Namibia's spectacularly scenic coast, the seaside town of Swakopmund is known for its wide-open avenues, colonial architecture, and is surrounded by otherworldly desert terrain. Founded in 1892 as the main harbour for German South West Africa, Swakopmund is often described as being more German than Germany. Now a seaside resort town, Swakopmund is the capital of the Skeleton Coast tourism area and has plenty to keep visitors happy. The quirky mix of German and Namibian influences, adventure options, laidback atmosphere and cool sea breeze make it very popular Namibian destination. Visitors can look forward to a number of exciting activities including: quad biking, horse riding, paragliding, fishing, sightseeing and fascinating desert tours.

Overnight: Mile-4 Caravan Park

Mile 4 Caravan Park is situated in the northern outskirts of the popular holiday town of Swakopmund. For the dedicated campers, the park offers a choice between a spacious campsite with neat ablution blocks or a more comfortable cluster campsite. For more of a luxury stay, there are a variety of self catering accommodations offered. For large groups such as sport teams, school groups, church groups or company team building groups, there are backpacker rooms in the dorms. Close by is an obstacle course to challenge the physical abilities of the groups. The park’s spacious bar with a built-in braai offers the ideal venue for private functions such as office parties, year end functions and birthday parties. Swakopmund Tandem Skydiving Tour

Swakopmund Skydiving Club offers a tandem jump from 10 000 ft for those with no previous sky-diving experience. This includes a briefing before the jump, a scenic flight over the famous Namib Dune Fields, a 35 second free fall, a 5 minute canopy ride, and a safe landing back at the club house.

Sandwich Harbour

Located roughly 50 kilometres from Walvis Bay, Sandwich Harbour is a natural lagoon framed by sand dunes on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. It is a prime angling and bird-watching site, with countless sea birds coming to feed on the rich fish population, including rare white pelican and vivid flocks of pink flamingos.

Day 6
Day 10-11: Etosha Safari Campsite Gondwana Collection Namibia, Etosha South or similar

Etosha South

Located just south of the boundary of Etosha National Park in northwestern Namibia, Etosha South makes up the southern region of this wild paradise. Ogava Private Game Reserve shares the southern boundary with Etosha National Park and offers an array of luxury lodges overlooking picturesque landscapes dotted with abundant wildlife. The national park can be accessed via the southern entrance at Andersson’s Gate. Visitors can catch a glimpse of a variety of wildlife including: lion, giraffe, elephant, white and black rhino, and a multitude of plains game. Popular activities include: game drives, tracking rhinos on foot, guided nature walks, or watch the sunset over this magnificent landscape.

Overnight: Etosha Safari Campsite Gondwana Collection Namibia

Set up under Mopane trees with loving care, this campsite offers guests many shady spots covered with lawn. Apart from showers, toilets and sink units there are several power points all over the site as well as mobile grills. Camping guests are welcome to use the swimming pool of neighbouring Etosha Safari Camp (a two minutes' walk). And those who want to treat themselves to dinner after an exciting day are most welcome at the camp's Okambashu restaurant. The Oshebeena bar next-door, decorated in typical township style, is just the place for a little get-together in the midst of African joie de vivre. Only 9 km away from Andersson gate, the camping site is the ideal basis for safari excursions into Etosha National Park.

Etosha Pan

Aeons ago, Etosha Pan was the bed of a vast lake; today what remains is a glittering, silvery-green salt pan that stretches across roughly 5000 square kilometres. Etosha is protected by the Etosha Pan National Park surrounded by savannah plains and woodlands supporting large herds of elephants. When dry, the pan sustains little life except for the algae that gives it its distinctive colour, and migratory birds that use it as a pit stop, but with heavy rain it becomes a shallow lake where flamingos breed, pelicans wade and feed, and a variety of mammal species come to quench their thirst, including leopards, lions, white rhinos, hunting dogs and antelopes.
